TERRY GREENE: HOW WE GOT TO NOW

23 September - 21 October 2017

There are patterns because we try to find them. A desperate attempt at order, because we can't face the terror that it might all be random. (Lauren Beukes, The Shining Girls)

dalla Rosa is proud to present How we got to now, a solo exhibition by Terry Greene including recent paintings and a new series of collages. Terry Greene lives and works in West Yorkshire, he received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Art & Design from Bradford College and a Master of Arts (MA) in Theory of Practice from Leeds Metropolitan University (now Leeds Beckett University).

Terry uses found paper, card, and newspapers to experiment alongside his paintings on canvas. Mixing collage, tape, acrylic paint, and marker pens, he employs paper to 'record forms that made too early an appearance - before I was ready to accept them.' He regularly shows in the UK and internationally, and has also co-curated painting exhibitions in London and Yorkshire.
